In Week 9, we change color by changing the image difference and print them, then cut them using a paper knife to divide them into different shapes or carve out patterns. After these were done, I put them together for stacking and stitching. They presented different shapes and colors, which I recorded by taking pictures and edited their tones with VSCO.

Figure 1.

After class, I modified my IKEA wall clock meter with paint.Because it is a white table, I think it can be my canvas. So I draw the draft in pencil and added color.

Figure 2.

Why would I choose this pattern to draw on the dial?Because I like Japanese ukiyo-e very much. It is a series of avant-garde 1970s artist Toshio Saeki, who revolutionized the creation of the Ero Guro genre of Japanese art literature movement that appeared around 1930, and his creations is a blend of pornographic and grotesque elements, color schemes and illustrations are bold and unique in styles that I really appreciate. But sadly, he died in 2020.
