WHERE AM I

In the second week, we learned how to make brief. It can help us to develop research and materials effectively when making our portfolio, and better know the direction and what our research wants in the process of organizing. In class, I made the mini brief and presented them for a short time.

From mini brief, I learned how to develop a new theme and expand it to trigger my own associations. As a student, getting a new project should first think about and write down the inspiration board in different aspects. The primary research and secondary searches were collected according to the different entry points. Primary research can be done by photography, painting, questionnaires, etc. Secondary research through the Internet, books and art works, etc.

In the second part, use the App to edit the pictures. We can choose Photoshop, VSCO and other different picture editors to change the color or shape of the collected images. It can bring the picture closer to the theme or personal style, bringing hierarchical changes to the page.

In the third part, take 30 photos in your free time according to the selected keywords, and then select 10-15 photos from them. I chose 6 black and white photos and 6 color photos. They represent patterns, lines and shapes, respectively, and these pictures fill my daily life. In class, I gave a speech and expressed to my teacher and students why I chose these pictures. They give me a visual impact in life and let me observe the casual details in life.

In fact, these photos all have their own stories. For example, the orangutan graffiti is a wall built under my apartment building. At first they were clean walls, but the night they were built was full of street graffiti. When I went to school in the morning, I found it interesting, even wondering if the young British street artists didn't need to sleep. When I was after class, I found that the wall had been removed by the construction team, and put on a warning not to paint on the wall. The next day, new graffiti appeared on the wall, better than those painted before. But the workers were cleared by the workers again after school. After a few times, the construction team gave up the removal and the best graffiti on the wall. Among the many graffiti, my favorite is this orangutan, and I think it's really amazing in just one night. So, I took this picture, and this is the story of this picture.
